Dryad’s Silvanet consists of solar-powered gas sensors capable of detecting wildfires in the first 30 minutes of ignition, sending alerts over a large-scale wireless IOT network infrastructure to a central cloud-based monitoring and analytics platform. By preventing wildfires which cause 20% of global CO2 emissions and destroy the world’s largest carbon sink and home to 3/4 of all biodiversity, Dryad can help to protect the forest and monitor re- and afforestation projects.
Dryad's Story
Dryad was founded by a team of 6 senior technologists with a background in telecoms, electronics and embedded software development, complemented by founders with finance sales and scientific background. The team shares the passion to finally use the knowledge we built over many years in the tech industry to finally make a difference and work to protect our natural resources.
