Solpod
Solpod was founded based on a deep frustration that despite being cheaper than the electricity grid, businesses were not choosing rooftop solar. While we say its “cheaper” this assumes a 20+ year operating life, which is appropriate for the technology but not the customer. Most businesses make decisions on shorter term horizons, such as renters, who may only have a few years committed to their property.
Solpod unlocks the potential for businesses to benefit from on-site solar generation through its prefabricated pods, which are easily redeployed and may be rented on a short term basis.
Solpod's Story
I believe the challenge of climate change is addressable – we can make the changes. I also believe we have many of the tools but we are still needing to explore and innovate how best to use them to achieve the acceleration to scale.
I get excited by new ideas going big. Implementing new ideas is my challenging but also vastly more interesting.
I also take great satisfaction in my efforts working towards a greater benefit from the community and environment.
