Sawaed19's Story
The idea began In 2009, I was one of top IT students besides being an active volunteering leader in several local and international institutes. During the community service course, I had to spend around 100 hrs volunteering in the Nablus Shopping Festival, where my only responsibility was to fix a flag on a pole! This made me realize what if I invested this time into a more impactful task!
Throughout 10 years of volunteering, I discovered that my current experienced the same pain.
We decided to dig deeply into this problem, we found that the economic value of volunteering hit $150M where 25% of Palestinian youth are volunteering with millions of hours annually. However, two-third of them and Non-Profits as well believe that volunteering in Palestine is random and disorganized. In addition, 90% NPOs are eagerly looking for qualified volunteers and vice versa. Not to mention that there is no well established digital volunteering community.
This eye-opening findings, drove us on a mission to Connecting Volunteers Worldwide and Matching Them With NPOs’ Volunteering Opportunities That Aim For a Better World
