Astrek Innovations built a lower limb exosuit developed to aid patients with walking disabilities in their therapies and to perform simple utilitarian tasks. Their device incorporates sensors and motion analysis to recognize walking patterns. The device is intended to provide paraplegics with a comfortable walk on indoor spaces to help them access toilets and other utilities in a home/office environment. This reduces the terrain variations and the complexities associated with it, bringing down the cost of the product.

Astrek Innovation's Story

They started working on this startup after having a personal accident. Astrek Innovations team used to work together in a volunteering organization and they used to work together for 5 years. Two years back the grandfather of Robin, one of the founders, had an accident. He was a really healthy and independent man, but after the accident, he couldn’t walk again. After doing the operation in records he was completely healthy to walk, but he didn’t. They used to carry him to the toilets, he was no more independent.

Astrek Innovations team used to develop assistive devices for daily living for specially-abled schools back then. They thought they will use rehabilitation solutions to make him walk but everything was costly and they couldn’t use anything. They came up together to develop a solution to this. Robin’s grandfather died two years back but they are working on this because they see so many people around them and they want to bring changes in their life.
