Through data collected by its platform, Bitmec facilitates decision making for governments, health systems and health providers.
Bitmec's Story
Access to quality healthcare in Guatemala (4.2 doctors / 10,000 inhabitants) and in countries with similar backgrounds (developing economies) is limited to the majority of the population, specially for those living in rural areas. Economic, physical and cultural barriers widen the gap even further. The former translates into low productivity and poor outcomes. Moreover, these factors contribute to people seeking opportunities elsewhere to try and develop a better life for themselves (i.e. illegal migration, domestic migration, etc). At Bitmec we are working to narrow the gap by developing cost-effective solutions that facilitate access to health services for those who need it the most.
