dillali's Story
Over the years, I had a number of issues managing my clients especially invoices, till today, it is still a bit of a challenge to me as I have used a number of invoicing platforms, which gave me an idea to make an invoicing platform that could solve my own problem of managing my invoices easily. The key word is “easy”. You see solutions out there are either too complex or no just adequate to meet my needs. Don’t get me wrong – there are a number of solutions that work and are really great! But there is a lot of room for other perspectives.
One major issue that I have seen is that most solutions try to add a number of features that at this stage in my business, I simply don’t need and my issue is the same for a number of one person businesses around. Simplicity is key for me, get it, do a quick entry, download and gbam! the job is done. You see, most of my clients are people who don’t have time and need me to respond quickly and effectively, which can be a pain when creating quotations and invoices for them. I like to write long stories…. Anyway, back to the point, I started asking around and did quite a bit of research, which let me to conclude there may be a problem worth solving.
Now this is where it gets more interesting. Despite the fact that the idea could work, I had another problem – how to build the solution. I am not a techie and don’t plan to be one anymore as it is just not my thing and my interest is lies in starting really cool projects – that is where my skills are strongest. It has taken quite a while to find the right developer to start the development plan of dillali. I will come back to this another in another post as it is a very long story of how to find the right technical team to work with.
Dillali is a an invoice and inventory management platform for micro and small businesses, who are seeking a simple and easy solution to improve the way they manage their business processes. Our goal is to solve a number of problems like improving record keeping; quick business assessments through analytics and; an affordable solution that is negligible to the user’s bottom line. This is what we set out to do and I am positive we will nail all these goals. Dillali is designed to be that assistant for the small business owner who cannot afford to hire a full time book keeper at this stage of their business, but at the same time needs an efficient way to keep records to pass on to their part time accountants to input without the need to start explaining long paper entries in a ledger book for example. And this is the case for a number of micro and small businesses who cannot afford to hire as their businesses/ cashflow cannot support such at this stage of the business lifecycle.
We want to be the platform that supports small businesses in creating a digital process for managing invoices and inventory. This is our mission and we will achieve it.
