Diwama's Story

In 2015, the Lebanese waste crisis was featured on global news. I was doing my Civil and Environmental Engineering degree, and I discovered my passion to solve the Lebanese and world’s most pressing environmental issues, especially the solid waste management problem. It never started as a business but always as volunteering, where I proposed an integrated solid waste management plan to multiple municipalities, I organized multiple beach and street cleanups with 50+ volunteers, I picked up recyclables from my previous company and neighbors and sent them personally for recycling, I provided awareness campaigns for sorting at home to multiple households and was part of the Zero waste campus at NDU. After all my volunteering, I thought that if I do it for free then why not as a business?
