Dot Incorporation
Dot strives to create innovative technology for the disabled. In 2018 they launched the Dot Watch, the world’s first smartwatch for the visually impaired. December 2019, they prepared for the smooth launch of the Dot Mini, which is like a Kindle for the blind. Alongside this, they are developing digital signs featuring a tactile graphic display, to provide text or graphics (map, pictures). Eventually, they hope to make public infrastructure accessible, such as having information accessible at bus stops and all types of transportation, in public buildings, and anywhere it can be utilized. They will stop at nothing to provide the best for their customers and peers.
Dot Incorporation's Story
Their ultimate goal is a barrier-free city. Going barrier-free is the most important way to improve the quality of life for persons with disabilities. They are currently determining which market they will focus on. However, they are well aware of the value of scale-up and they are willing to work with anyone who knows their value either B2B or B2G. To do this they need to have strong collaborations with other Able-tech companies and governments. In a narrow sense, it is limited to sites where wheelchairs are able to move freely. But, in a wider sense, it means a tourism system designed for everybody.
