Mixteresting is building an AI software tool, which can virtually simulate new promising concrete mixtures. Finding new mixtures is time-consuming and expensive right now because all mixtures have to be tested separately in laboratories. They help scientists to simulate new mixtures before testing it in the laboratory. This shortens the time for testing and lowers the cost of finding new features overall up to 90%! Their goal is to speed up innovation cycles, reduce time and costs in this process, and reduce CO2 emissions of the new mixtures.
They can either reduce the cement part in the mixture at the same strength, optimize the completely concrete mixture in terms of strength, or even find new mixtures with additives that could not be used right now (desert sand or recycled material).

Mixteresting's Story

Mathematicians by heart, they are problem solvers by passion and they want to make science useful for society. When they were asked 3 years ago if they could help with the improvement of concrete mixtures they had absolutely no idea how big and polluting this industry is. They quickly saw some promising spots and created a first model and software. Now that they are absolutely sure that it works – they want to change the future of the building industry for good!
