Odd.Bot
Odd.Bot is a company formed in 2018 with the vision to become a leader in precise weed management solutions. The company has been specialized in developing new and sustainable robotic solutions for weed-management services mainly for the open vegetable market. The main goal of Odd.Bot is to transform the weed management process among EU farmers and to stimulate organic production by offering efficient removal of weeds without the need for herbicides and alternatives to herbicides. Moreover, the company wants to build energy and resource-efficient automated agricultural machines that will increase productivity, while causing multi-level savings for the farmers and therefore increased profitability.
Odd.Bot's Story
We have to feed nearly 10 billion people by 2050 so we have to think about how to do this in a sustainable way. Current methods of farming are far from sustainable; an increase in scale and the mono-cultures threaten biodiversity, big machines heavily compress the soil and a lot of potentially harmful chemicals are still being used to produce our food that also degrades the soil.
Odd.Bot wants to change that. Therefore they will offer solar-powered lightweight Robots-as-a-Service that can do mechanical weeding and more to assist organic farmers first and eventually help convert conventional farmers.
