Poikilingo
Poikilingo is creating learning apps that will help bilingual children navigate through a joyful language adventure by playing gamified activities. We follow a consolidated learning approach (CLIL) that teaches different subjects of STEAM through the target language, while developing social skills and cultural awareness, ethics and respect for other and Nature, all created by educational experts and inspired by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Poikilingo's Story
Founded by a mom of bilingual kids, this project is connected to our hearts! Bilingual children are usually divided in 2 groups: immigrant children themselves; or children of immigrants, some times called the 2nd-generation. They are part of a minority group, and often these children look different from the native children in the country they settled down. We want to help those minority children to value their own identity and to preserve their language and heritage, while building up the social skills, cultural awareness and societal values of the country they live, in order to help them to fully integrate and contribute to their society. As an European company, we believe in our role as promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, to help us achieve the 17 goals by 2030. In our minds, there is no better way than educating this generation of small children :-)
