Enabling the methane abatement on hard-to-abate sites via on-site cloud computing
Powerblocks is the solution to powering the world’s data centres with clean energy. We use energy from waste emissions such as landfill gas venting and flaring to power our data centres. This not only helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions but also helps to power the world’s growing demand for data. We are starting with bitcoin miners, but our modular and highly flexible loads can be used for a variety of other applications and use cases.
Powerblocks's Story
We see this as our best lever to have an impact on the climate as methane is the last low-hanging fruit when it comes to climate change as a third of global greenhouse gases is caused by methane emissions due to it being 84 times more potent than carbon dioxide.
