Remagine's Story
I had always been interested in the question what can cause systemic positive change. Money and its explicit as well as implicit dynamics play a key role here as it’s this invisible binding glue that predicates all socio-economic functions. With that in mind, we wanted to combine Fintech and Impact to create a bank that uses money and financial products for good. We first started tinkering with a lending model called revenue based financing. We like it as revenue based financing empowers entrepreneurs to be more sovereign and independent of VCs. However, we quickly realized that we don’t want to be a pure play lending business as it’s very transactional and likely a race to the bottom. In our research with customers we realized that most companies struggle with their bank and we came to realize that there is a much bigger opportunity in building a proper business bank. This is what Remagine is today, the first purpose driven business bank.
