SatSure

Having grown up in a small town in one of the most under-developed parts of India, Prateep, co-founder of Satsure, had first-hand experience of farmers distressed by droughts, heavy rains, poor market power, and low incomes. Having gone through the rigors of being a space technology practioner for almost 7 years, he started SatSure with the aim of addressing structural changes in agriculture finance and policymaking through technology, that can help improve the livelihoods of farmers, especially the small landholders. The trigger came during an Uber conversation, as tens of thousands of farmers across India migrated to cities for driving as it paid more than farming. Making farming profitable and attractive again requires making capital available for investment to farmers readily and at low rates, which is what they work on at SatSure.
