TeknTrash is an AI and analytics startup which obtains data from trash.
To that end, it created stipra.com, which is currently the only service which effectively rewards people for proper recycling while providing valuable post-sales data.

TeknTrash's Story
TeknTrash believes that the lack of this data is unacceptable in a world which is increasingly calling data “The new oil”, and is the main reason why the entire recycling model is failing. In fact, FMCG companies have no visibility over where their products end up once they leave the point of sale. This results in negative brand equity, and harms the environment as trash is not disposed of responsibly. Also, trash generates methane, which is 88 times stronger than CO2 for global warming, and 11% of all methane in the atmosphere comes from trash.
To solve this, Tekntrash created Stipra, an app which encourages and incentivises people to make a simple video while disposing of their trash responsibly. Stipra’s unique AI system recognises a product’s barcode and collects proprietary data. Brands can access this consumption data through tiered subscriptions and contribute rewards for responsible recycling.
