ummadum
ummadum connects retail and mobility to create a unique eco-system. Public and private partners buy ummadum-points to distribute to their stakeholders. These points can be used to request rides shared by other users to get to work, leisure activates, etc. After riding together, these points can be used to shop at local retailers.
Everyone profits: clean air, less traffic, value-added in the region, safer rides (automatic free insurance), positive impact for CSR-reports, fewer mobility costs.
ummadum's Story
ummadum was founded by Rene Schader and Thomas Angerer to tackle a big issue in mobility – the occupancy rate of cars. The occupancy rate is less than 1.2 in general and less than 1.1 when commuting. Regular ridesharing is struggling to find a stable customer base, so the idea was born to connect it to an incentive-system while simultaneously strengthening the regional economy. Starting from this idea connecting industries became the main focus of ummadum, developing a business model that enables partners to create incentives for their stakeholders to nudge them to change their behavior, leading to more sustainable mobility, regional value-added and fewer travel costs.
