WeDress 's Story
I used to be a heavy consumer of fast fashion and switched to sustainable fashion in 2013 due to the Rana Plaza building collapse in Dhaka, Bangladesh. As my love & passion for fashion and versatility has always been strong, I became an absolute heavy user of second-hand platforms and visited a lot of vintage shops and flea markets. But at the end of the day, even though I consumed and bought less, more reflective and sustainable, I bought something that was again worn far too rarely. At some point I was back in my wardrobe with this feeling of “nothing” to wear and was totally frustrated. So the idea of WeDress Collective came to my mind: why not create a platform that further increases my wardrobe without me having to buy anything new. A platform that offers the joy of dressing up in new fashion, without regrets.
